Crash games are simple: a multiplier climbs from 1.00x, and you must cash out before it "crashes." Cash out at 2.00x and you double your bet; wait too long and you lose it. No strategy changes the house edge, but your cash-out target completely changes how your sessions feel and how fast your money can disappear.
We worked out the exact odds and simulated 20,000 sessions per strategy. For crypto casinos that offer crash games, see our crypto casino Philippines guide.

How crash games work
- Place your bet before the round starts.
- The multiplier starts at 1.00x and rises.
- Press cash out (or set an auto cash-out) to lock in your bet times the current multiplier.
- At a random point the round crashes. Anyone still in loses their stake.
The crash point is decided before the round begins, typically by a provably fair algorithm. Watching the curve doesn't reveal it, and the multiplier "slowing down" or "speeding up" is just animation.
The key formula
Most crash games are built so that the chance of the multiplier reaching at least x is about:
P(reach x) = RTP ÷ x
With a 97% RTP (a 3% house edge, common for popular crash titles), the chance of reaching 2.00x is 0.97 ÷ 2 = 48.5%. With a 99% RTP (1% edge, offered by some crypto-native crash games), it's 49.5%. That formula means every cash-out target has the same expected return: you lose the house edge on average whether you aim for 1.1x or 1,000x.
Where the house edge hides
If the chance of reaching x were exactly 1 ÷ x, the game would be perfectly fair: a 2x cash-out would win exactly half the time. Crash games shave that slightly. In many designs, a small share of rounds crash instantly at 1.00x, wiping out every bet regardless of target; in others, the distribution is scaled so every target is reached a little less often than "fair." Either way, the result is the RTP ÷ x pattern above, and the shortfall from fair is the house's cut on every round, whatever you do.
Cashing out at 2x vs flipping a coin
A 2x cash-out at 97% RTP wins 48.5% of the time, like a coin that lands heads slightly less than half the time. You wouldn't expect a betting pattern on that coin to make you rich, and the same logic applies here.
Win chance by cash-out target (97% RTP)
| Auto cash-out | Chance to hit | Win on ₱100 | Roughly hits once every |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.10x | 88.2% | ₱10 | 1.1 rounds |
| 1.20x | 80.8% | ₱20 | 1.2 rounds |
| 1.50x | 64.7% | ₱50 | 1.5 rounds |
| 2.00x | 48.5% | ₱100 | 2.1 rounds |
| 3.00x | 32.3% | ₱200 | 3.1 rounds |
| 5.00x | 19.4% | ₱400 | 5.2 rounds |
| 10.00x | 9.7% | ₱900 | 10.3 rounds |
| 100.00x | 0.97% | ₱9,900 | 103 rounds |
Also note: some games crash instantly at 1.00x a small share of the time; that's one way the house edge is built in.
Simulation: 20,000 sessions per strategy
Each session: ₱5,000 bankroll, ₱100 bets, up to 200 rounds, 97% RTP.
| Strategy | Sessions ending in profit | Sessions busted (₱0) | Average result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flat, cash out 1.2x | 20% | 0% | −₱593 |
| Flat, cash out 1.5x | 27% | 0% | −₱588 |
| Flat, cash out 2x | 31% | 0.1% | −₱606 |
| Flat, cash out 5x | 37% | 10% | −₱578 |
| Flat, cash out 10x | 38% | 27% | −₱576 |
| Flat, cash out 100x | 19% | 73% | −₱299* |
| Martingale at 2x (double after loss) | 29% | 70% | −₱1,091 |
Simulation by betgabay. *The 100x average looks smaller only because most sessions bust early and stop betting; the share of money wagered that's lost is still about 3%.
What the simulation shows
- Average loss is about the same for every flat target, roughly 3% of the ₱20,000 wagered (₱600). The cash-out target doesn't beat the edge.
- Low targets (1.2x to 2x) give steady, slow losses and almost never bust. They feel safe but rarely end a long session in profit, because many small wins are erased by each loss.
- Medium-high targets (5x to 10x) produce more profitable sessions, but also many busts. Swingier.
- Very high targets (100x) are lottery tickets: one hit pays big, but most sessions bust.
- Martingale is the worst of all: it busted 70% of sessions in 200 rounds and doubled the average loss, because doubling from ₱100 needs ₱6,300 after six straight losses, and six losses in a row at 2x happens about 1.8% of rounds.
How crash compares with other games
| Game | Typical house edge | Rounds per hour | Expected loss per hour at ₱100 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crash (97% RTP) | 3% | 300 to 400 | ₱900 to ₱1,200 |
| Crash (99% RTP) | 1% | 300 to 400 | ₱300 to ₱400 |
| Live European roulette | 2.7% | 40 to 60 | ₱108 to ₱162 |
| Live baccarat (Banker) | 1.06% | 60 to 80 | ₱64 to ₱85 |
Round counts are rough estimates for continuous play. The point: crash's edge can be modest, but its speed means the hourly cost can be several times higher than live table games at the same bet. Pace is your biggest lever.
Why 1.1x "safe" strategies aren't safe
Cashing out at 1.10x wins 88% of the time, which feels like free money. But each win is only 10% of your bet, while each loss is 100%. You need about nine wins to cover one loss, and losses arrive about once every eight or nine rounds. Over hundreds of rounds, the 3% edge wins. Combine a low target with large bets and a single bad run hurts badly.
Setting auto cash-out
Use auto cash-out. Manual clicking introduces delay and emotion: players hold too long hoping for more, or panic out early. Set your target before the round and leave it. Many games also let you set auto-bet with stop conditions, such as stop after a total loss or profit amount. Use those limits if you use auto-bet at all.

Two-bet split strategy
Many crash games allow two bets per round. A common approach: one bet with a low cash-out (say 1.5x) to recover most of the stake, and one with a high cash-out (say 5x or 10x) for upside. This changes the pattern of results, more partial wins and fewer full losses, but the combined expected return is still the game's RTP. It's a way to shape volatility, not beat the game.
Example with ₱100 on each bet, 1.5x and 5x targets:
- Crash below 1.5x (35.3%): lose ₱200.
- Crash between 1.5x and 5x (45.3%): win ₱50 on one, lose ₱100 on the other: −₱50.
- Reach 5x (19.4%): +₱50 and +₱400: +₱450.
Expected result: about −₱6 per round, 3% of ₱200 wagered.
Bankroll and bet sizing
| Cash-out target | Suggested bet as % of session bankroll | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1.2x to 2x | 2% to 3% | Low variance; losing runs are short |
| 3x to 5x | 1% to 2% | Losing streaks of 10+ rounds are common |
| 10x and up | 0.5% to 1% | Dry spells of 30 to 50+ rounds are normal |
At a 10x target, the chance of missing 20 rounds in a row is about 13%; at 5x, missing 10 in a row is about 12%. Size bets so those streaks are survivable.
Session rules that actually help
- Decide rounds in advance. Crash rounds take seconds; 200 rounds can pass in 30 minutes. Fewer rounds = less expected loss.
- Stop-loss: 30% to 50% of session bankroll.
- Stop-win: lock in gains at +30% to +50%, then withdraw or stop.
- Never raise bets to recover losses. That's Martingale in disguise.
- Ignore the history bar. A row of low crashes doesn't make a high one more likely.
A sample session plan
- Session bankroll: ₱3,000. Bet: ₱50 (about 1.7%).
- Auto cash-out: 2.00x, or a two-bet split of ₱30 at 1.5x and ₱20 at 5x.
- Rounds: 100 maximum, or 20 minutes.
- Stop-loss: ₱1,500 left. Stop-win: ₱4,200.
- No bet increases after losses. No reloads.
- Expected cost: about 3% of ₱5,000 wagered, or ₱150.
That's the honest frame: a crash session is entertainment with a predictable average cost and an unpredictable result.
Picking a crash game
- Check the RTP in the game info; 97% to 99% is typical. Prefer higher.
- Look for a working provably fair verifier.
- Check minimum and maximum bets and the maximum win per round.
- Prefer games with auto cash-out and auto-bet stop limits.
- Play only on licensed sites; avoid apps or groups that take payment through personal e-wallets.
Provably fair: how to check a round
Most crypto crash games are provably fair. Before rounds, the game commits to a hashed server seed; after, it reveals the seed so anyone can verify the crash point was fixed in advance. To check:
- Open the game's fairness or "verify" section.
- Copy the revealed seed and round details.
- Use the game's verifier or a third-party tool to recompute the crash point.
Provably fair proves the round wasn't changed after you bet. It doesn't remove the house edge, and it can't tell you future crash points.
Scams and "predictors"
Telegram groups, TikTok videos and apps sell "crash predictors," "Aviator signals" and "hacks." They don't work: the crash point comes from cryptographic seeds you can't see in advance. These schemes typically charge fees, push you to unlicensed sites, or ask for your account login. Never pay for signals or share login details or OTPs.
Common mistakes
- Believing low cash-out targets are risk-free.
- Chasing a "due" high multiplier after a run of low crashes.
- Using Martingale.
- Playing hundreds of rounds without limits.
- Paying for prediction tools.

Taglish recap
Responsible play
Crash games are fast, which makes losses add up quickly. Set limits before you start. Only adults 21 and over may gamble in the Philippines, and PAGCOR bars students and government employees.
