This guide converts NBA schedules into Philippine time (PHT, UTC+8), explains the daylight-saving change that shifts every game by an hour in November, and shows how timing affects the prices you get. It doesn't give picks or live odds. For the bigger picture on betting the league from here, see our NBA betting Philippines guide.

Ang mabilisang sagot: ilang oras ang difference?
The Philippines stays on UTC+8 all year; we don't use daylight saving time. The United States does, and that's what makes the conversion change twice a year.
| US period | Eastern Time (ET) to PHT | Pacific Time (PT) to PHT |
|---|---|---|
| Daylight time (second Sunday of March to first Sunday of November) | Add 12 hours | Add 15 hours |
| Standard time (first Sunday of November to second Sunday of March) | Add 13 hours | Add 16 hours |
For the 2026-27 season, US daylight time ends on Sunday, 1 November 2026, and starts again on Sunday, 14 March 2027. So the first two weeks of the season use "+12 from ET," most of the regular season uses "+13," and the end of the regular season plus the entire playoffs go back to "+12."
A simple way to remember it: in the busy winter months, a 7:00 PM ET tip-off is 8:00 AM the next day in Manila. In October, April, May and June, the same 7:00 PM ET game starts at 7:00 AM.
Opening week 2026-27 sa oras natin
The NBA's 81st regular season tips off on Tuesday, 20 October 2026 (US date) with a tripleheader. Converted to Philippine time, that's Wednesday, 21 October:
| Game (US listing) | ET | Philippine time |
|---|---|---|
| Boston at Detroit | Tue 3:00 PM | Wed 21 Oct, 3:00 AM |
| Philadelphia at New York (Knicks banner night) | Tue 7:00 PM | Wed 21 Oct, 7:00 AM |
| Oklahoma City at San Antonio | Tue 9:30 PM | Wed 21 Oct, 9:30 AM |
The Knicks open as defending champions after winning the 2025-26 title, their first since 1973. The regular season runs until Sunday, 11 April 2027 (US date), and NBA Cup group play starts on 30 October. Schedules can change for TV, so always confirm the time on the league's official schedule or your sportsbook on the day.
Karaniwang oras ng NBA games sa Pilipinas
Most NBA games tip off between 7:00 PM and 10:30 PM local time in the US. Converted for the standard-time months (+13 from ET), this is what a normal weekday looks like in Manila:
| US tip-off | Typical teams | PHT (Nov to mid-March) | PHT (Oct, mid-March to June) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7:00 PM ET | East coast home teams | 8:00 AM | 7:00 AM |
| 7:30 PM ET | East coast home teams | 8:30 AM | 7:30 AM |
| 8:00 PM CT (9:00 PM ET) | Central time zone teams | 10:00 AM | 9:00 AM |
| 7:00 PM MT (9:00 PM ET) | Denver, Utah | 10:00 AM | 9:00 AM |
| 7:00 PM PT (10:00 PM ET) | West coast home teams | 11:00 AM | 10:00 AM |
| 7:30 PM PT (10:30 PM ET) | West coast home teams | 11:30 AM | 10:30 AM |
Weekend and holiday afternoon games in the US fall in our early morning hours: a 3:30 PM ET Sunday game is 4:30 AM Monday in winter. Christmas Day games in the US run from about midnight to the afternoon of 26 December in Manila.
A typical NBA game lasts about two and a quarter hours of real time. So an 8:00 AM PHT tip-off usually finishes between 10:00 and 10:30 AM, and the late West coast games end around 1:30 to 2:00 PM. Overtime adds roughly 15 to 20 minutes per period.
Bakit iba ang petsa sa bet slip mo
This catches a lot of new bettors. Sportsbooks can display events in your account's time zone, in UTC, or in US dates. The same game might appear as "Tuesday" on an American site and "Wednesday" on your slip. A few practical rules:
- Check the time zone setting in your sportsbook account and set it to Manila or UTC+8 if that option exists.
- When a friend sends a "Tuesday" game, assume it's a US date unless they say otherwise.
- Futures and NBA Cup markets list deadlines in a specific zone; read the fine print before a deadline you think is "tonight."
- Parlays mixing NBA with PBA or European football can span two calendar days in Manila; that's normal and doesn't change how they settle.
Kailan gumagalaw ang NBA lines, sa oras natin
Understanding the rhythm of a game day in the US tells you when prices are most and least informed. Converted to Philippine time during standard-time months:
Hapon hanggang gabi bago ang laro (PHT)
Sportsbooks often post next-day lines during the US evening, which is our morning or midday, while the previous day's games are still being played. These early lines have the least information, so they move the most.
Madaling-araw: official injury reports
NBA teams must file injury reports the day before a game, by late afternoon local time, with updates on game day. For an East coast team, a 5:00 PM ET report the day before arrives at about 6:00 AM PHT, roughly a full day before tip-off in Manila. Game-day updates and shootaround news land from late night to early morning our time, before many of us wake up.
Umaga: final hour before tip-off
Starting lineups are confirmed about 30 minutes before tip. If you place a bet at 6:30 AM for an 8:00 AM PHT game, you might miss a late scratch announced at 7:30. That's why it's worth checking injury news one last time just before tip-off, and why props on star players are risky to place hours early.
| Event (US side) | Approx. PHT, winter | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Next-day lines posted | Previous day, morning to afternoon | Least informed; most movement ahead. |
| Team injury report filed (day before) | Around 6:00 to 9:00 AM, day before | First big line move for "questionable" stars. |
| Morning shootaround updates | Late night to 2:00 AM | Status changes; mostly while Manila sleeps. |
| Starting lineups | About 30 minutes before tip | Last chance to react to scratches. |
| Tip-off | 8:00 to 11:30 AM | Pre-game markets close; live betting opens. |
Weekday routine para sa may trabaho o klase
Here is a practical routine we'd suggest if you bet NBA on a workday. It's built around not betting in a rush, which is where most timing mistakes happen.
- Gabi bago matulog (9:00 to 11:00 PM PHT): look at tomorrow morning's slate, decide which one or two games you care about, and note the current lines. Read the official injury report if it's out.
- Pagkagising (5:30 to 6:30 AM): check overnight news, especially stars listed as questionable. Compare the line with what you noted last night. If it has moved a lot, find out why before betting.
- Bago bumiyahe: place pre-game bets you are confident in, with the stake decided last night. Don't add extra games because you're bored in traffic.
- Habang nasa trabaho: avoid live betting. A phone under the desk during meetings is the worst environment for decisions. If you must follow, follow the score, not the market.
- Tanghali: check results, log the price you took, the closing price, and the outcome.
Our bankroll management guide explains how to decide stakes the night before so you don't make that call at 7:00 AM half-awake.
Live betting sa oras ng trabaho: bakit delikado
Live NBA betting is popular because the games fall in our morning. But the conditions are poor for good decisions. Your stream may run 20 to 60 seconds behind the real action, while the sportsbook's prices are updated from faster data feeds. Bets get rejected or re-priced during big swings. And you're often distracted, in a jeepney, on a bad mobile signal, or between tasks. If you enjoy live betting, set a fixed live budget per game, use only markets you understand, such as quarter totals, and stop at halftime regardless of result. For the first quarter specifically, see our NBA first-quarter betting guide; 1Q markets close at tip, so the timing advice above applies directly.
Kailan nase-settle ang NBA bets
Full-game bets normally settle shortly after the official final score, which is early afternoon PHT at the latest on a normal day. A few timing details worth knowing:
- Overtime counts for full-game moneylines, spreads and totals at most books, but not for quarter or half markets. Check your book's rules.
- Player props can settle later than game lines, sometimes after official stats are confirmed.
- Postponed games: books usually void bets if a game doesn't start within a set window, often 24 to 48 hours. Each book has its own rule.
- Stat corrections after settlement are generally not re-settled, though rules differ.
- Futures such as the champion or MVP don't settle until the season or awards are decided, which for the Finals means mid-to-late June in Manila.
Playoffs, NBA Cup at Finals sa Philippine time
From mid-March the US switches back to daylight time, so the playoffs follow the "+12 from ET" rule. Playoff games in the first round can start as early as midnight to 1:00 AM PHT for weekend afternoon games in the US, and as late as 10:30 AM for evening games out west. The NBA Finals usually tip off in the US evening, which typically lands around 8:00 or 8:30 AM in Manila. Exact dates and times are confirmed only once the matchups are known.
The NBA Cup has group-play nights through November and the knockout rounds in December, all in the "+13 from ET" months, so a 7:30 PM ET Cup game is 8:30 AM PHT. Remember that NBA Cup knockout games count in the regular-season standings except the final.
International games
The NBA's games outside the US change the math completely. Preseason games in Macau or regular-season games in Mexico City or Europe follow their local clock, and a game in Asia can be a rare evening tip-off for Manila viewers. Always use the official time zone of the venue.
Back-to-backs at travel: oras na nakakaapekto sa laro mismo
Timing also matters on the court. Teams on the second night of a back-to-back, especially after travel across time zones, often rest players or play shorter rotations. Since the official injury report deadline for a second-night game is earlier on game day, the news sometimes arrives just a few hours before our morning tip-off. If you like betting totals or props, check whether either team played the night before; the schedule makes this easy to see if you know where to look.
West coast teams playing early afternoon games on the East coast, and East teams playing late in the West, also face body-clock challenges. These effects are small and widely known, so markets already price most of them in. They're useful context, not a system.
Paano gumamit ng oras para makakuha ng mas magandang presyo
Timing is one of the few real advantages a recreational bettor can control. A few principles:
- Early lines are softer but riskier. Betting the night before can get you a better number if your read is right, but you take the risk of injury news going against you.
- Late lines are sharper but safer. Betting close to tip-off means paying a fairer, more efficient price with fewer surprises.
- Don't chase moved lines. If a star is ruled out and the line moves six points, the value you saw last night is gone. Re-evaluate from scratch instead of betting at a worse price "because I already decided."
- Use the overnight gap honestly. Much NBA news breaks while Manila sleeps. That's not something to fight; it's a reason to check before you bet in the morning.
For how to compare a price with the closing line, our guide to sharp lines and fair odds uses PBA examples, but the same arithmetic works for the NBA.
Props at oras: bakit kailangan ng huling check
Player props are where timing mistakes cost the most. If you back a star's points line at 6:00 AM and he's ruled out at 7:30, most books void the bet, but not every market is treated the same way, and some combined bets or "specials" may settle differently. If a teammate is ruled out, your player's usage may rise, and the line will usually move up quickly. For a full walkthrough, see our NBA player props guide.
Sample na araw: Miyerkules sa Manila (taglamig)
To make this concrete, here is what an imaginary weekday slate in December might look like in Philippine time. The games are illustrative, not an actual schedule.
| PHT | What's happening | Bettor action |
|---|---|---|
| Tue 9:00 PM | Wednesday morning lines are up; Monday-to-Tuesday news priced in | Shortlist games; note prices; set budget. |
| Wed 2:00 AM | US morning shootarounds; status updates | Sleep. Check when you wake. |
| Wed 6:00 AM | Official reports for Thursday's games start appearing | Check Wednesday's injury news; re-check prices. |
| Wed 7:30 AM | Starting lineups for 8:00 AM games | Final check; place or skip. |
| Wed 8:00 AM | East coast tip-offs | Avoid live betting while commuting. |
| Wed 11:00 AM | West coast tip-offs; early games ending | Settle-up time for early games. |
| Wed 1:30 PM | Last games end | Log results and closing prices. |

Mga madalas na pagkakamali dahil sa oras
- Converting with +12 in December, so you think a game starts an hour earlier than it does, then rushing a live bet because you "missed" tip-off.
- Assuming the US date on social media is the Manila date.
- Betting props hours before lineups and forgetting to check news.
- Placing parlays across the whole morning slate, then live-betting to "save" the last leg at work.
- Staying up all night for news and betting tired. Sleep is a better edge than a 3:00 AM line.

Time zone ng bawat NBA team
Home team location decides the local tip-off time, so it's worth knowing which zone each franchise plays in. A 7:00 PM local start means very different Manila times depending on the arena.
| US time zone | Teams (home arena) | 7:00 PM local = PHT (winter) |
|---|---|---|
| Eastern | Atlanta, Boston, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Cleveland, Detroit, Indiana, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Toronto, Washington | 8:00 AM |
| Central | Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, Milwaukee, Minnesota, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, San Antonio | 9:00 AM |
| Mountain | Denver, Utah | 10:00 AM |
| Mountain (no daylight saving) | Phoenix | 10:00 AM in winter; 10:00 AM in summer too |
| Pacific | Golden State, LA Clippers, LA Lakers, Portland, Sacramento | 11:00 AM |
Phoenix is the odd one: Arizona doesn't observe daylight saving, so its local time stays at UTC−7 all year. In winter it matches Mountain time; in spring and summer it matches Pacific time. For Manila, a 7:00 PM Phoenix start is always 10:00 AM PHT. Toronto follows Eastern time like the US East coast.
Worked examples: paano mag-convert nang tama
Three quick examples you can follow step by step.
Example 1: Lakers home game, 7:30 PM PT, in January
January is US standard time, so PT to PHT is +16 hours. 7:30 PM + 16 hours = 11:30 AM the next day. If the US listing says Friday, the game is Saturday late morning in Manila.
Example 2: Celtics home game, 7:30 PM ET, on 25 October
Late October is still US daylight time, so ET to PHT is +12 hours. 7:30 PM + 12 = 7:30 AM the next day.
Example 3: Weekend matinee, 1:00 PM ET, in March after the 14th
After 14 March 2027 the US is back on daylight time, so +12. 1:00 PM + 12 = 1:00 AM the next day in Manila, the middle of the night. If you're thinking of betting that game, place it before you sleep or not at all.
A safety habit: whenever you convert, double-check by looking at the event time inside your sportsbook after setting your account to Manila time. If the two disagree, trust the book's listing for bet cutoffs, because that's when it closes pre-game markets.
Mga Philippine holiday at NBA mornings
Some of the busiest NBA days fall on our holidays, when more people are home, more people bet, and more people bet more than they planned.
- Christmas. The US Christmas Day slate stretches from around midnight to the afternoon of 26 December in Manila. It's a family day here; decide your budget before Noche Buena, not during it.
- New Year. NBA games around 31 December and 1 January fall during Media Noche and the morning after. Tired, celebrating and betting is a bad combination.
- Holy Week. In late March or April, games land on long weekends when many Filipinos travel to the province. Mobile data and signal problems make live betting even riskier.
- Payday weekends. The 15th and 30th aren't holidays, but they are when many bettors over-commit. A fixed weekly limit protects you from "payday mode."
Halftime at quarter breaks: maikling oras, mabilis na desisyon
A halftime break in the NBA lasts 15 minutes, and quarter breaks are shorter. Sportsbooks post second-half lines during halftime and close them at the restart. That gives you a few minutes to decide, often with a delayed stream and a phone notification as your only information. If you want to use second-half markets, decide your rules in advance: for example, "I only bet a second-half total if the first-half pace is far from what I expected and no key player is in foul trouble." Without a pre-set rule, halftime bets tend to be emotional reactions to the score.
Alarms, notifications at "isa pang taya"
Many Filipino bettors set alarms for injury news or tip-off. That's fine for information, but notification-driven betting has a known downside: it turns every update into a prompt to act. Some suggestions:
- Use notifications for news, not for odds boosts or promotions.
- Turn off sportsbook app push notifications during work hours.
- Pick a fixed time to place bets, such as 6:30 AM, and don't bet outside it.
- If you notice you're waking up at 3:00 AM to check lines, that's a sign to scale back.
Mga myth tungkol sa oras at NBA betting
- "Early morning lines are always wrong." Early lines are less informed, not automatically mispriced. Professional bettors also bet early, which is why they move.
- "Afternoon US games are always low-scoring." There's no reliable rule; pace and lineups matter far more, and markets set totals accordingly.
- "West coast late games favour the home team more." Home advantage exists across the league and is already in the price. Body-clock effects are small.
- "Live odds are slow, so I can beat them with my stream." The opposite is usually true: your stream is behind the book's data feed.
Paano isama ang NBA sa lingguhang budget
Because there are NBA games almost every morning from late October to April, it helps to think in weeks rather than days. A simple structure: decide a weekly amount you can afford to lose, split it into a few units, and choose in advance which days you'll bet. Some bettors pick two or three mornings a week and skip the rest. Others only bet weekends. A schedule like this keeps the morning routine from turning into a daily habit you never consciously chose. Pair it with a simple log of stake, price, closing price and result, and review it every Sunday.
Play-in tournament sa oras natin
The play-in tournament runs in the week after the regular season ends, in mid-April, during US daylight time, so add 12 hours to ET. Play-in games are single elimination for the seventh to tenth seeds in each conference. They're high-stakes for the teams and often heavily bet. The schedule is announced only a day or two in advance, once seeding is known, so lines appear late and move quickly on news about tired or injured starters. If you plan to bet the play-in, check the final schedule the evening before in Manila and expect morning tip-offs again, with weekend games possibly starting in the early hours.
Because play-in matchups are set so late, there's also less time for markets to absorb information. That can mean bigger moves between the opening line and the close. Treat early play-in prices with extra caution.
Trade deadline, All-Star at Draft: mga araw na gumagalaw ang futures
Futures markets, such as championship, conference and award odds, move most around a few calendar moments. In Philippine time:
- Trade deadline (February). The deadline is set for a US afternoon, which is our early morning the next day. Deals reported in the final hours can shift title odds overnight. If you hold a futures bet, don't panic-hedge at 4:00 AM; the price you'd get right after big news is usually poor.
- All-Star weekend (mid-February). The main game is on a US Sunday evening, which is Monday morning here. All-Star markets are mostly novelty bets with large margins.
- End of regular season (11 April 2027, US date). Final-day games decide seeding and play-in spots. Teams with nothing to play for may rest starters, and that news often breaks late, overnight in Manila.
- Awards announcements (April to May). MVP and other award markets settle when the league announces winners, often in the US evening, our morning.
- NBA Draft (late June). Held on a US evening, our morning. Draft-position markets are thin and risky; insiders often report picks before the commissioner announces them.
Check the league's official key-dates page for exact days each season, then convert with the rules above.
Paano basahin ang official NBA schedule
The NBA's own schedule lets you display times in your local zone if your device is set to Manila, but many third-party sites default to ET. Before relying on any schedule, look for a time zone label next to the times. If there's none, compare one game with your sportsbook's listing to confirm. For streams, broadcasters in the Philippines sometimes show replays later in the day, which is great for watching but irrelevant for betting, because markets close at the real tip-off.
